#4 – My trip to France: Aix-en-Provence and more
Some of the best were in Aix-en-Provence. Here are my favorites:
I guess the pins in his arms and head are to keep the pigeons off.
Looks pretty painful….
Sculpture at the Ancienne Halle Aux Grains, with images of wheat and fruit to symbolize the bounty of the earth.
Hard to believe this image below is actually a government building that handles corporate legal issues. . . But after all this is France. . . . .
Image above a restaurant in Aix
A mermaid and merman at a château in the Camargue
A close-up of a sculpture at the Eglise St-Trophime, a church in Arles – from the story of Daniel in the lion’s den
Below, inside a church in Avignon
And finally, can someone explain the meaning of this image on a building in Avignon?
That’s it for today.
